International pedigree also runs through this energetically-performing foal with the sonorous name Burberry. This stallion is perfectly befitting of our aim and endeavour to secure especially valuable genetics for jumping sport and to make future-oriented pairings. The sire of this expressive colt is Belgian warmblood Poker de Mariposa. With Kars Bonhof in the saddle, this stallion – born in 2015 – has already transitioned successfully into the advanced levels. His dam also produced, amongst others, licensed stallion Nestor de Mariposa (145cm), as well as Leon de Mariposa (130cm) and Nora de Mariposa (145cm). In the direct dam line we find numerous jumping horses who have achieved success over 160cm, including Flora de Mariposa, Hermes de Mariposa (licensed), Ilena de Mariposa, Margriet de Mariposa and Trezebees. The sire responsible is Nabab de Reve (160cm). This son of Quidam de Revel achieved Team Bronze in the World Equestrian Games with rider Philippe le Leune. Burberry’s dam Luzia enjoyed success at 145cm level with Finnish rider Annina Nordström. She hails from mare line 131, breeding family 581, and is a daughter of Ludwig von Bayern. In the second generation we see Egina (KWPN). As well as Luzia, she produced a further jumping horse who achieved success up to 145cm – Alfina. In Westside Story (160cm) and Degina (160cm), this mare also has two full siblings who have succeeded in top-level sport. Burberry is a sport horse of the future, with genetics combining a wealth of international success stories.
